The JCFW supports vibrant Jewish communities and other causes, locally and around the world.
Grant making is at the heart of what we do. Since 2000, the Jewish Community Foundation of the West and our donors have made grants to a wide range of programs and institutions, both Jewish and in the broader community, locally and around the world.
We respond to emergencies that affect the Jewish community here in the northern California region, nationally, and around the world.
- Grants recommended by our fundholders, from their donor-advised funds and supporting foundations, make up the vast majority of JCFW grantmaking. These grants support charitable organizations ranging from our local Federation and partner agencies, to programs in Israel and overseas Jewish communities, to secular organizations around the country and around the world.
