Teen Trips To Israel

One of the most important Jewish experiences a teen can have is visiting Israel with a group of peers. After seeing the impact that such a trip had on their own children, Sharon and Larry Saltzman wanted to make sure that every teen had the chance to go. By working with the Jewish Community Foundation of the West, they established the Teen Trips to Israel Fund. Every year, this fund contributes money to the Jewish Federation of the Sacramento Region to distribute as scholarship money for trips to Israel.

This important cause allows teens an opportunity they otherwise might not have had. As the cost of these trips rises and resources become more scarce, Sharon and Larry feel it is important to grow this fund so future generations can connect with Israel, the Jewish people, and their own sense of Jewish identity.
